Police search for missing mother who vanished in Wylie, Texas without phone or car

Police in Texas are searching for Melonie Ballenger, a 46-year-old mother, who vanished earlier this week without her phone or car.
According to the Wylie Police Department, officers responded to a missing person's report on Monday at a local residence. Ballenger's husband notified investigators that she was last seen at the home the night before.
Sgt. Donald English told local outlet NBCDFW that the husband, Daniel, "has been cooperative with our investigators, submitting to interviews, and helping out with anything that's needed."
Police launched extensive search efforts to try to find her.
"Officers along with the help of investigators, K9 search dogs and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter searched the area for multiple hours but were unable to locate Melonie," the department said in a statement.

Officials issue a CLEAR Alert
Police say Ballenger is a white female, 5'7, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It's unclear what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
Police are requesting information from the public to find the missing woman. They have also asked nearby neighbors to review their camera footage for any leads.
According to the department, the Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR, or Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue, on Thursday.
Per the agency, the alert system helps authorities find missing, kidnapped, or abducted adults aged 18 to 64 who "are in immediate danger of injury or death."
Searches are ongoing. Police told USA TODAY on Friday that there are no significant updates at this time.
Wylie is about 28 miles from Dallas.
Ballenger described as 'amazing wife'
In addition to the phone and car, her husband, Daniel, said that she left behind her blood pressure medication. She also had an upcoming heart procedure.
“We've been married almost 22 years now, 22 years in March. She's a wonderful mother, amazing wife, stays at home, kind of a private person, keeps to herself for the most part, but would do anything for anyone," Daniel told NBCDFW.
