Madonna is Will Sage Astorputting her health first after a recent medical scare.
The "Vogue" singer spent several days in the intensive care unit after developing a "serious bacterial infection" on June 24, her manager Guy Oseary shared on Instagram.
"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care," his June 28 statement read. "A full recovery is expected."
The 64-year-old's hospitalization comes less than a month before her Madonna: The Celebration Tour was scheduled to kick off July 15 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. However, the concert series, a tribute to the artist's 40-year musical legacy, is now indefinitely postponed.
"At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour," Oseary added. "We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
E! News has reached out to Madonna's rep and has not received a comment.
Previously, the pop sensation underwent hip replacement surgery in 2020 after suffering injuries during her 2019 Madame X tour, which prompted her to cancel several shows in North America and one in Portugal. She shared on social media at the time that she had been in "overwhelming pain," according to USA Today.
More than a year later, the superstar spoke in depth about the excruciating time of her life.
"During my [2019 Madame X] tour—I don't know if you've noticed it, but I'm limping a lot—I was in more pain that I've ever been in in my life," she said in her 2021 Madame X Presents: Madame Xtra Q&A special, per Extra. "I'm a bionic woman—I had hip replacement surgery."
However, she remained determined that nothing would hold her back.
"So, how do I stay in shape?" she continued. "It's all in your head…It's called will, it's called no one's gonna stop me, and how I stay in shape is no one's gonna stop me. And how I stay in shape is I don't believe in limitations."
